Summer is a great time of year for a road trip! But before you load up the car and hit the open road you need to make sure you have everything you need and may need. And you should also make sure that your car, truck or SUV is ready to have some serious miles put on it. These five tips could make the difference between being broken down on the side of the road and having a fun summer road trip.
- 1. Be sure to bring a large flashlight with plenty of new batteries just in case you have trouble at night
- 2. Pack road flares or reflecting triangles to alert other drivers if you are broken down or making repairs to your vehicle on the side of the road
- 3. Bring along an empty gas can in case you run out of gas
- 4. Replace all of the wipers and make sure you have enough wiper
- 5. Bring an extra a gallon of engine coolant in case the vehicle overheats
One last thing before we forget. Bring your car, truck or SUV down to our service center for a pre-road-trip check-up.
